Recycling filament is easier said than done. Here's how we operate.
Step 1: Collection
When we collect filament scraps from you, we store them indoors, protected from humidity and UV exposure.
Step 2: Shredding scraps
Before we can feed the scraps to our recycler, we have to break them down into smaller pieces. We load your scraps into a filament pelletizer that shreds the scraps down to more manageable, uniform pellets.Â
Step 3: Recycling filament
To recycle filament, we use ArtMe-3D's MK3 desktop recycler/extruder. Click here to view this device's documentation.
Step 4: Post-Job Storage
After we've processed filament, we dehydrate it and store it indoors, away from direct sunlight and in a humidity-controlled environment, ready to be returned to you!
