Minimizing waste
Our overall goal behind FillaZilla is to minimize the amount of perfectly good filament that ends up in the trash. Most of the plastics used in 3D printing are totally reusable. Recycling and reusing that filament not only is good for the environment, but also for everyone's wallets - filaments can be expensive!
Giving back to UF
We want to serve organizations at UF that use 3D printers. We also want to work with any student or faculty member who uses 3D printers. Please reach out!
Community outreach
Ultimately, we would love to work with the wider Gainesville community. We hope to conduct outreach through local makerspaces and schools to spread awareness of our program.
